Lawn Care Program · Lincoln, NE
One Program, One Company, The Whole Season
Most lawns do not need six vendors and a shed full of product. They need someone showing up on schedule with the right thing at the right time. Six visits cover feeding, weed prevention and grubs, and you get a written report after each one.
We service the Lincoln area, from Waverly and Eagle out through Crete, Seward and Milford.

Why It Works
Why A Program Instead Of One-Off Visits
Lawn problems are seasonal and they overlap. Handling them one at a time, after they show up, is how a lawn ends up permanently behind.
Timing Is Most Of The Job
Pre-emergent works before germination. Fertilizer works when the grass is growing. Grub control works against a specific hatch window. Miss the window and the same product does far less for the same money.
The Problems Are Connected
Thin turf lets weeds in. Weeds compete for what little nutrition there is. Grubs kill roots and open more space. Treating any one of them alone leaves the other two working against you.
You Get Told What Was Found
A lawn report follows every visit covering what was applied, what looks good, and what is worth watching. You are not guessing whether anyone came or what they did.

What A Season Looks Like
Spring To Fall
The program is built around the Nebraska growing season rather than a fixed calendar. Visit timing shifts with soil temperature and conditions.

01
Early Spring
Pre-emergent goes down ahead of crabgrass germination, with the first feeding to push growth out of dormancy.

02
Late Spring
Second pre-emergent and feeding. Broadleaf weeds that made it through get treated directly.

03
Summer
Feeding adjusted for heat, grub control timed to the hatch, and spot treatment for whatever the season brings.

04
Fall
The most important feeding of the year. Roots store energy now, which is what next spring’s lawn is built from.
Getting Started
How It Works
Three steps, and the only one you handle is the first.
01
Request Your Quote
Send the form or call. Tell us roughly how big the lawn is and what condition it is in — a lawn that has been maintained is a different starting point from one that has been neglected a few seasons.
02
We Measure And Schedule
We confirm square footage, price the program, and put you on the visit calendar with the first application timed to the season.
03
We Treat And Report
After each visit you get a lawn report covering what was applied, what looks good, and anything worth watching. Service calls between visits are free.

What People Say
★★★★★
We are always happy with our service from Yard Boss. Nate was timely and efficient and our yard looks great. He applied pre-emergent, fertilizer as well as weed control. We also like that we get a “lawn report” as to what looks good and what might need improvement.

Logan W is thorough as he works on my lawn. The lawn looks beautiful and Logan does a great job! Found 1 little dandelion in an out of the way place in the backyard, that’s it in such a huge lawn.
Nancy LebowGoogle review★★★★★
Outstanding communication. My lawn looks great and they email me a lawn report after each time they are here. Wyatt always comes to the door first to let us know he is here.

Questions
Before You Book
If yours is not here, call and ask. We would rather answer it now.
Will I Be Notified When You’re Coming For Service?
Yes. When you sign up, you choose your preferred notification method, text or email. We send notifications the day before service letting you know which technician will be servicing your lawn. You can reply to any message with special concerns or requests for the technician.
Do I Need To Mow Before You Treat My Lawn?
No, please keep your normal mowing schedule. We actually prefer the lawn is not freshly mowed: it is easier to see and identify weeds, and bigger weeds have more leaf surface area for herbicide absorption. Herbicide enters through the leaf, so more leaf means a better kill. That said, if the lawn is freshly mowed it is not a concern. We can work with any mowing schedule.
How Long Should I Wait After An Application To Mow?
Wait 24 hours after application before mowing. That gives our products more than enough time to activate and absorb into the plants. Mowing too soon can remove herbicide before it is fully absorbed by the weeds.
Do I Need To Water After Each Application?
For best results, water in within 48 hours of application. If you have underground sprinklers, just let them run on their normal schedule — no special watering needed. If you cannot water within 48 hours, the fertilizers will still work, just slightly slower. Application #6 is the exception and does not need watering, because that fertilizer is immediately available to the plant.
Are The Applications Safe For My Pets?
Yes. Your pets can be on the lawn once it is dry, which typically takes about an hour, longer on cool or cloudy days. Keep them inside during application and until the grass is completely dry, then normal activity can resume.
Will My Technician Tell Me About Problems They See In My Lawn?
Yes, in two ways. If you are home, they will raise any concerns with you directly. Whether you are home or not, they will email you a lawn report card assessing mowing height, watering practices, fungus or disease presence, and whether fall seeding is recommended.
If I Am Not Home, How Will I Know My Lawn Has Been Serviced?
Two ways. A yard sign goes at the end of the driveway or another highly visible spot, and a door hanger is left with the date, time, service details and aftercare instructions.
Are Your Applications Granular Or Liquid?
Both, on every application. All fertilizers are granular, using slow-release polymer-coated technology that feeds the lawn for 8 to 10 weeks — liquid fertilizers do not have that slow-release capability. All weed control is liquid, because it completely coats the weed leaves and ensures the herbicide penetrates. Granular herbicides cannot achieve that level of coverage.
Do I Need To Tell You If I Have Seeded My Lawn?
Yes, and this one is critical. Many of our products harm new grass seed. When you notify us we note your account, skip all pre-emergents because they prevent grass seed from germinating too, and skip all herbicides for six weeks while the new grass is vulnerable. We continue fertilizer, which is excellent for new seed. You also get a free weed control callback six weeks after seeding — just call us.
