Ralston is a unique city surrounded by Omaha and Bellevue, but its lawns face the same major fungal challenges as the rest of the area. Our program provides five monthly liquid applications from May through September to target destructive diseases like brown patch and dollar spot. Urban heat retention in the metropolitan area can intensify disease pressure on your grass. When the combined temperature and humidity reach or exceed 140, fungal outbreaks become inevitable without professional help. Our goal is to provide complete protection throughout the critical summer months when the weather is ideal for these diseases to thrive and destroy your hard-earned lawn investment. Common lawn diseases we treat:
Ralston’s established neighborhoods often have mature Kentucky Bluegrass lawns that are very susceptible to summer diseases. Two critical habits help minimize disease: watering only in the morning and mowing tall. Evening watering combined with natural dew keeps grass wet for 10 to 12 hours, which is exactly what fungal spores need to grow. You should raise your mowing height to 3.5 or 4 inches and keep it there all summer. Taller grass develops deeper roots and stronger plants that can resist disease. For the best results, pair our fungicide program with proper fertilization and fall aeration to introduce more resistant grass varieties.
Fungal diseases follow predictable patterns based on the weather. When daytime temperatures are in the 80s or 90s and humidity is above 50%, spores find the perfect conditions to infect your grass. They only need 6 to 8 hours of continuous leaf wetness to penetrate the plant tissue. Once inside, they spread rapidly; a small patch can grow into several square feet in just a few days. By the time you notice brown or yellow spots, the grass is already permanently dead. This is why reacting to fungus after it appears is ineffective. You are always fighting from behind and treating damage that cannot be reversed.

Disease pressure persists throughout the entire May-September period whenever environmental conditions align. You cannot predict which month will be the worst because it varies every year based on the weather. This is why we do not offer partial programs with only two or three applications. Gaps in coverage allow disease to establish during untreated times, and once the grass dies, it is gone until you reseed. Our rotating chemistry approach uses different mixes throughout the season to prevent resistance. Every application must be watered in within 24 hours to allow the preventative medicine to enter the plant system and provide internal protection.

Yes. Like all products we use, once the application is dry, it is safe for everyone—pets, children, and adults. Drying typically takes about 1 hour but may take longer on cool, cloudy days.
Safety protocol: Keep people and pets off the lawn until dry (usually 1 hour). After that, normal use can resume.
It depends on your lawn's history and grass type:
YES, you should do the program if:
NO, you probably don't need the program if:
HOWEVER: If you notice unusual brown, yellow, or dead spots during summer, contact us immediately so we can diagnose the issue. Early detection is critical.
No. This is why:
Bottom line: Reactive single treatments don't work for lawn fungus. The full preventative program is necessary for control.
It depends on your grass type:
Long-term solution: Overseeding with newer, disease-resistant grass cultivars can reduce (but not eliminate) the need for fungicide over time.
We use professional-grade fungicides that combine both curative and preventative active ingredients. We rotate between two different chemical mixes (Mix #1 and Mix #2) to prevent resistance development.
This is an all-liquid product that we spray onto the lawn. Liquid products:
This is why we exclusively use liquid fungicides—they're simply more effective
Great question. There are several reasons:
Value perspective: While more expensive than fertilizer, fungicide is cheaper than reseeding large dead areas from disease damage. Dead grass from fungus won't recover—it must be reseeded. Prevention costs less than repair.
