Monthly Service
This unique Nebraska community deserves pest control services that deliver professional results with reliable, consistent service. Our barrier protection program provides seven months of continuous prevention with monthly treatments that keep homes and outdoor spaces pest-free. Our service targets:
The best pest control results build over multiple months of consistent treatment. Your first application establishes the initial barrier and begins eliminating existing populations, but you may experience the flush-out effect with temporarily increased activity. Second and third applications reinforce the barrier and continue colony elimination while new insects are prevented from establishing. By months 4-7, you have fully established protection with minimal pest activity both indoors and outdoors. Each season of service also reduces the viable pest populations on your property, making subsequent years progressively easier to maintain. Consistent multi-year service creates properties where pest problems become rare rather than routine.
Applications are scheduled monthly throughout the April-October season, approximately 30 days apart with a minimum of 20 days between treatments for both safety and product effectiveness. This interval allows the previous application’s barrier to work through most of its coverage period while avoiding product over-application that could affect environmental safety. The monthly rhythm creates overlapping protection as we apply the next treatment before the previous one fully degrades, maintaining continuous barrier coverage throughout the entire season.

Yard Guard treats up to 20,000 square feet of lawn and landscape area, which accommodates the vast majority of residential properties. This coverage includes all turf areas, landscape beds, patios, pool surrounds, play spaces, and outdoor living areas. For context, 20,000 square feet is nearly half an acre—more than most suburban lots. We focus application on areas around the home and where you spend time outdoors, as these are where pest problems concentrate and where protection matters most. This strategic approach delivers excellent results for typical properties within standard coverage and pricing.
At Yard Boss, we understand that you may have questions about our services, processes, and how we can help you achieve the perfect lawn. Whether you’re curious about our lawn care techniques, service areas, or the benefits of professional lawn maintenance, you’ll find the information you need right here. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our friendly team!
This varies by pest and situation:
Key point: This is preventative, not instant. The barrier builds protection over the first few months and maintains it thereafter.
Yes, in two ways:
Limitation: If you have active large nests in trees or structures, those may require specialized removal. Our monthly service prevents and controls typical wasp issues but isn't a replacement for professional nest removal when needed.
YES! In fact, we highly recommend this for pet owners:
Yard Guard is especially recommended for pet owners because outdoor flea/tick control dramatically reduces what pets bring inside and the pest exposure they experience.
You cannot skip treatments without losing control. Here's what happens:
This is preventative, not curative. Like any preventative measure (taking vitamins, changing oil, brushing teeth), skipping doses means the protection fails and you have to restart.
No! You do not need to be home:
Wait until spray is completely dry:
Safe after dry: Once dry, normal use is safe for people and pets
A few scenarios:
You could, but here's why we don't recommend it:
Better approach: Full-season service prevents all pests including mosquitoes, with best results when barrier is continuous
We take precautions to protect pollinators:
Bottom line: When applied properly (avoiding flowers, not spraying bees directly), our service has minimal impact on beneficial pollinators.
Once dry, rain won't wash it away:
