We offer our overseeding service in the fall. The fall season is the best time of the year to overseed for a few reasons; one reason is that if you are overseeding right after the summer season ends, your soil will still be warm. Warm soil is the perfect environment for new grass seeds to begin germinating. However, while your soil is still warm, the fall air temperatures will be cool, which reduces insect activity and prevents fungus growth. This will help to protect your current grass and newly growing grass from damage. Finally, weeds don't typically germinate in the fall, which means that your new grass seeds won't have to compete with weeds for essential nutrients. So, we provide our overseeding service in the fall because it means that your grass seeds will grow successfully and your new lawn will be here before you know it.

The most common grasses found in Nebraska are cool-season grasses, so we use cool-season grass seeds to overseed your lawn. The grass seeds that we use are a mix of fescue and Kentucky bluegrass. Because we cater the type of seeds we use to the most common grass type in the area, that means that your new grass will have the best chance at growing successfully.

We offer our core aeration service in conjunction with our overseeding service because overseeding is much more effective when done after aerating; overseeding immediately after aerating your lawn will give your new grass seeds the best chance to grow successfully. When we aerate your lawn, small cores of soil are removed, leaving behind many tiny holes in your yard. Overseeding right after the core aeration process has been completed allows the new grass seeds to fill those tiny holes and have a much better chance at taking root and growing quickly. This is why we only pair our overseeding service with our core aeration service.
