Gretna's Professional Landscape Maintenance Solution
Gretna's rapid growth has brought many new homes with professionally designed landscape beds that require ongoing maintenance to stay beautiful. Our weed control program provides that maintenance efficiently and effectively, keeping beds pristine without constant manual weeding. Our program takes care of:
Dandelion
Henbit
Clover
Nutsedge
Crabgrass
Dozens more!
The Cost of Manual Weeding
Consider the alternative: most homeowners spend 30-60 minutes weekly weeding landscape beds during the growing season—that's 15-30 hours annually. At any reasonable hourly rate for your time, our program costs less than the value of time saved, plus delivers superior results through prevention rather than constant reaction to emerging weeds.
The Watering Window Explained
After each application, landscape beds must be watered within 24-72 hours to activate the pre-emergent. This watering moves the granular product into the top layer of soil where weed seeds germinate. Waiting longer than 72 hours doesn't make the product ineffective, but it delays activation and shortens the effective coverage period. Timely watering ensures maximum protection.

4th application
Early September

Key Components
Granular pre-emergent & spot spray

Purpose
Controls late-season weeds and provides fall prevention as temperatures cool and fall weeds germinate.
Drip Irrigation Limitations

Subsurface drip irrigation systems don't provide adequate activation for pre-emergent herbicides because the water doesn't reach the soil surface where the granules sit. If you have only drip irrigation, you'll need to supplement with overhead watering using a hose or sprinkler, or wait for natural rainfall. We're happy to work with your irrigation setup to ensure product effectiveness.
