Monthly Service
Waverly’s growing community between Lincoln and Omaha features newer homes and established properties that all face the same pest challenges: insects seeking entry into homes and outdoor pests making yards unusable. Our barrier protection services provide continuous pest control from April through October with monthly treatments that prevent problems before they start. Our service targets:
Home Guard treats your foundation perimeter only—3 feet up the walls and 3 feet out on the ground around your entire home. Yard Guard includes the foundation barrier plus treatment of up to 20,000 square feet of lawn and landscape, including patios, pool areas, play spaces, and outdoor living areas. For larger properties, we focus strategically on areas around the home and where you spend time, which typically provides excellent results within standard coverage.
We never need to enter your home because our exterior barrier prevents insects from getting inside in the first place. Traditional pest control sprays baseboards and cabinets inside your house after bugs have already invaded—a reactive approach that puts chemicals in your living spaces. Our proactive barrier creates a treated zone around your foundation and throughout your property that insects cannot cross without dying. It’s prevention, not reaction.

Why Treatment Matters
Establish and maintain a barrier to prevent pests from entering your home or infesting your propery.

After your initial service, you may notice more spiders, ants, or other insects for about 10 days. Don’t be alarmed—this temporary increase means the treatment is working exactly as designed. Products irritate pests hiding in foundation cracks and voids, pushing them out into the open. As they evacuate, they contact the barrier, pick up product on their bodies, and carry it back to their nests where it spreads to entire colonies. Within 7-10 days, populations are eliminated and activity drops dramatically.
At Yard Boss, we understand that you may have questions about our services, processes, and how we can help you achieve the perfect lawn. Whether you’re curious about our lawn care techniques, service areas, or the benefits of professional lawn maintenance, you’ll find the information you need right here. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our friendly team!
This varies by pest and situation:
Key point: This is preventative, not instant. The barrier builds protection over the first few months and maintains it thereafter.
Yes, in two ways:
Limitation: If you have active large nests in trees or structures, those may require specialized removal. Our monthly service prevents and controls typical wasp issues but isn't a replacement for professional nest removal when needed.
YES! In fact, we highly recommend this for pet owners:
Yard Guard is especially recommended for pet owners because outdoor flea/tick control dramatically reduces what pets bring inside and the pest exposure they experience.
You cannot skip treatments without losing control. Here's what happens:
This is preventative, not curative. Like any preventative measure (taking vitamins, changing oil, brushing teeth), skipping doses means the protection fails and you have to restart.
No! You do not need to be home:
Wait until spray is completely dry:
Safe after dry: Once dry, normal use is safe for people and pets
A few scenarios:
You could, but here's why we don't recommend it:
Better approach: Full-season service prevents all pests including mosquitoes, with best results when barrier is continuous
We take precautions to protect pollinators:
Bottom line: When applied properly (avoiding flowers, not spraying bees directly), our service has minimal impact on beneficial pollinators.
Once dry, rain won't wash it away:
