Protecting Wilber's Czech Capital Trees
Wilber’s tree-lined streets and well-maintained properties face dual threats from Japanese Beetles and Bagworms every summer. Our professional service protects both shade trees and evergreens with two monthly sprays in June and July. Beetles emerge in early June to attack Lindens and Roses, while Bagworm caterpillars hatch on Junipers and Spruce. This program is highly efficient because both pests are active at the same time and respond to the same professional treatment. This ensures your entire landscape stays protected during the critical summer window when these insects are most destructive and capable of causing permanent damage to your trees. What we do:
Linden Trees
Buckthorn Shrubs
Roses
Crabapple Trees
Pear Trees
Wilber Treatment Program Structure

We use specialized professional equipment that can spray 30-60 feet into tree canopies, providing coverage that consumer tools cannot achieve. The first application in June catches early pests and stops infestations before they build up. The second spray in July maintains protection as the first treatment naturally wears off after 3-4 weeks. The insecticide kills pests through both contact and ingestion. This two-step program provides continuous coverage throughout the entire peak feeding season. We only apply treatments on calm days with low wind to ensure safety and effectiveness for your landscape.
Japanese Beetle Challenges in Wilber
Wilber homeowners should avoid Japanese Beetle traps because research proves they attract more beetles to your property than they catch. Even with local lawn care, adult beetles will fly in from surrounding agricultural areas or nearby parks. Lawn grub control protects the grass but does not stop these flying adults from attacking your trees. We recommend pairing pest prevention with deep root fertilization. Proper nutrition helps trees recover from damage, maintain their vigor, and resist environmental stress, ensuring your tree-lined property stays healthy and green year after year.

Permanent Bagworm Damage to Wilber Evergreens

Bagworms are a serious threat because damage to conifer trees is permanent and irreversible. Once a branch is stripped of its needles, it remains bare forever and will never recover. Severe infestations can kill entire trees or permanently disfigure Wilber’s mature evergreens. Deciduous trees can regrow their leaves every spring, so beetle damage is temporary. Since each bagworm bag can contain 1,000 eggs, missing even one bag during hand-picking means next year's infestation will be exponentially worse. Professional spray treatment is the only way to avoid these lasting and irreversible landscape losses.
